We have bought Renault Safrane (2000, 2.5 20V) which didn't have the original radio. Now we have replaced the radio with the original Alpine radio but the radio display in navigator's screen doesn't work. Alpine radio is the one used with navigator so the model should be correct.

When the radio is switched on, code beeps can be heard and a blank box appears to screen but no text. Navigator works fine. There are some mentions that there is a way to reset Carminat to find the radio again. How this should be done? We have tried to press DIS and REP buttons same time and use the language CD with no effect.

Does somebody know how to do the trick? Looking forward to get help, thanks.
